Terms of Use

About these terms
These terms apply to the Solon Prep website, the printed books sold through it, and the Solon Prep study app (Solon Chambers practice questions and Solon Court mock exams). By using the site or the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Your account
An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure and don't share it. You can be signed in on up to two devices at a time; signing in on another may sign out a device you're not using. Tell us through the contact form if you think someone else has used your account.
Free and paid access
A free account gives you a set of practice questions and the calibration test. Paid access to Solon Chambers or Solon Court is a single payment for a chosen exam sitting. It runs until the access end date shown before you pay, and it doesn't renew automatically. If you own one of our printed books, you can unlock that book's questions in the app by answering questions about your copy.
Starting access, cancelling and refunds
When you buy access we ask you to confirm that you want it to start straight away, and that once it starts you lose the legal right to cancel within 14 days. We also offer our own refund: a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you've used less than 20% of what you bought. To ask for a refund or to cancel, tell us in a clear statement through the contact form, with the email address on your account and your order reference.
Printed books
Books ordered through this site are printed and sent by our print partner. If a book arrives damaged or faulty, tell us through the contact form and we'll put it right. Your legal rights as a consumer, including any right to cancel an order, are not affected by these terms.
Fair use
The app is for your own study. Don't share your account, copy or republish questions or explanations, record or scrape them, or use automated tools to access them. Question pages carry a watermark linked to your account. To protect the question bank, we limit how quickly new questions can be opened, and we may pause or close an account while we look into suspected misuse. If we pause yours, contact us and we'll sort it out quickly.
Accuracy and corrections
Solon Prep is an independent revision aid. It isn't legal advice, and it isn't produced, approved or endorsed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or its assessment provider. Each question's explanation shows the date the law is stated as at. If you think something is wrong, use "Report a problem"; we aim to reply within 72 hours, and corrections are listed on our changelog. Scores, comparisons and readiness figures are guides to your practice, not predictions, and we can't promise any exam result.
Our content
The questions, explanations, books and site content belong to Solon Prep. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own exam preparation while you have access.
Changes and availability
We may improve or change features, correct content and carry out maintenance, and the app may occasionally be unavailable. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll tell account holders about changes that matter.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
